How to Replace Arctic Spa Jets
This is Christian Staples with Arctic Spas. We’ve come up with these instructional videos to review what we went over with you as far as taking care of your hot tub and the operation of your hot tub when it was delivered. So if you have any questions, you can use these videos to go back and reference once again and review.
So I’m going to go over the installation of a 3 inch tri-faced jet. So the first thing that you want to do is find the groove of the jet body. So this body is actually embedded into the tub, and we’re looking for this groove right along through here. The second thing is that we need to find the tooth that sticks out on the back of the jet, and we simply just take that tooth, line it up with that groove, and then pop it straight into place.
Now, to take the jet out, you would turn it counter clockwise until you feel or hear a little click, and then you pull the jet straight out.
Okay, we’ll go over the installation of a turbo 3 inch jet. Now this is the tab style jet, so this has these little tabs on the back that hold the jet into place. The first thing that you need to do is locate the groove that’s in the jet body that’s embedded into the tub, and you can see on how half of the jet body, it has this bigger groove. The second thing is you need to locate this tooth that’s on the back of the jet, and that tooth needs to be lined up with that groove. And so you simply just line it up and then pop it straight into place.
Now to remove the jet, you just turn in counter clockwise until you hear a click, and at that point you just pull the jet straight out.
Okay, now I’m going to go over the installation of a turbo jet 3 inch with the threads on the back, and so that’s what these are here. This jet you just simply place into the jet body and then you rotate it clockwise until you feel a stop, and at that stop you’ll give it a little bit more force, and then keep going. Now the next stop is as far as it’s going to go. But then that way you can turn the jet on or off.
Now to remove the jet, you simply reverse the process. So you turn it counter clockwise, you’ll feel that stop and you just have to give it a little bit more force to get it to turn all the way out. Once it’s loose, you can pull the jet out.
So next we’re going to go over the installation of a 5 inch tri-faced jet. Now these jets are tabbed, so these little tabs that hold the jet into place. But you simply just put the jet into the jet body, and turn it clockwise until you hit a stop, and just simply reverse the process if you want to remove it. You just turn it counter clockwise and then pull the jet out to remove it from the jet body.
So, we’re going to go over the installation of a 5 inch turbo jet that is threaded here. So, to install the jet, you just simply put it into the jet body and you turn it clockwise, and that will thread it into place. Once you feel a stop, you’ll need to just put a little more force and turn it farther, and that will give it the ability to turn on or off. To take the jet out, you simply just reverse the process. So you’ll turn it counter clockwise. You’ll feel that stop, you’ll want to give it a little bit more force and then you simply just thread the jet all the way out and pull it out.
